How to use Tulip® Express Yourself™ XL Iron-on Transfer™

1. Prewash fabric. Do not use fabric softener. 

2. Remove parchment paper from design.

3. Cut roughly around the design. 

4. Set dry iron to wool setting. Place fabric on a hard, flat surface. Use iron to warm fabric for 20 seconds, then place transfer on fabric, metallic side up. Cover with the piece of parchment paper. 

5. Iron firmly over design for approximately 40-60 seconds. 

6. Once the fabric has completely cooled (after approximately 3 minutes), peel the metallic backing from the design. If edges or smaller elements of the design have not completely adhered, place the parchment paper back over the design and re-iron for approximately 20 seconds. 

7. Make sure to let the design set on fabric for at least 24 hours before washing. Machine wash inside out on "gentle cycle." Dry flat. When ironing garment, turn inside out or cover deisgn with a piece of cloth.

Tips & Techniques

Iron-on designs work best on fabric containing at least 50% cotton. Add fun accents with Tulip® 3D Fashion Paint™, Tulip® Iron-On Crystals™ and trim.
